Privacy & Security
Why Does Thea Require an Email Address?
We require an email address to verify your account ownership in the following cases:
- Account recovery: Handle password resets if you lose access to your account
- Identity verification: Verify your identity when you contact us with account-related requests (particularly for account deletion or subscription changes)
- Product updates: Occasionally send product updates (which you can disable in your notification settings or unsubscribe directly from the email)
Privacy note: You can use an anonymous email provider such as SimpleLogin with Thea—it's up to you what email address you want to use. Thea does not need your personal information, and the above requirements are just the bare minimums needed to operate a secure subscription service.
